Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 3 eggs, separate
- 4 tbsp water, hot
- 200 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 125 g flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 125 g poppy seeds, unground
- 500 ml cream
- 2 packs of cream stiffener
- 400 g marzipan (raw mass), or ready-rolled marzipan coating
- powdered sugar for sprinkling
- Fat for the mold
Instructions
Working time approx. 55 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes
Mix egg yolks, water, 150g sugar, and vanilla sugar until creamy. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into the egg yolk mixture. Mix together the flour, baking powder, and poppy seeds and stir in. Pour the batter into a greased 26cm springform pan and bake at 175°C for 20-25 minutes. Let the base cool and cut in half. Whip the cream with cream stiffener and 50g sugar and spread between the layers. Roll out the marzipan on a work surface dusted with icing sugar, or take the ready-made marzipan and place it over the cake. Adjust the sides and trim. Decorate the cake as desired.
