ideal cake for Easter with decoration tips!
Beat 125g butter with 125g sugar and vanilla sugar until creamy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Pour in the cream. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in. Grease and flour a 26cm springform pan. Spread the batter evenly and bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (150°C fan oven) for about 30 minutes. Allow the base to cool in the pan and then turn out. Mix 4 tablespoons of milk with the custard powder and 30g sugar until smooth. Bring the remaining milk to a boil, stir in the mixed custard powder and bring to a boil again briefly. Cover with plastic wrap (please place directly on the pudding (preferably without air bubbles) to prevent a skin from forming) and leave to cool. Drain the peaches in a sieve and, if desired, cut out 2 chicks using a cookie cutter. Cut the remaining peaches into pieces. Beat 400g softened butter until creamy. Stir in the room-temperature pudding a tablespoon at a time. Divide the buttercream. Fold the peach pieces into one half of the buttercream. Cut the cake layer in half crosswise, spread the peach cream on the bottom layer. Place the second layer on top, and cover the cake with 2/3 of the buttercream. Fill a piping bag with a star nozzle with the remaining buttercream. Pipe tufts onto the cake. Sprinkle the edges with ground pistachios and gently press down. Chill for about 1 hour. Knead the marzipan with food coloring and press it through a garlic press. Form nests and place them on the cake. Decorate with sugar eggs and, if desired, cut-out peach chicks.
