Oven-baked turkey and cheese meatballs

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • ½ onion(s)
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 250 g low-fat curd cheese
  • 1 tsp mustard, medium hot
  • 1 m.-sized egg(s)
  • 120 g Emmental cheese, grated
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 tsp, crushed paprika powder, hot
  • 1 tsp, heaped marjoram, dried
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 500 g minced turkey
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. In a bowl, combine the low-fat quark with the mustard, egg, Emmental cheese, diced onion and garlic, herbs, and spices. Then knead in the turkey mince and breadcrumbs. If the mixture isn’t thick enough, add a little more breadcrumbs if needed. Preheat the oven to 180°C (top and bottom heat) and line a baking sheet with baking foil or parchment paper. Shape the mixture into patties, place them on the prepared baking sheet, and bake for about 25 minutes.
