Creamed spaetzle with dried tomatoes

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of Spätzle, from the refrigerated section (or homemade)
  • 1 can of dried tomatoes in olive oil
  • 500 ml cream (half cream)
  • chili powder
  • salt and pepper
  • Olive oil, for frying
  • 1 small onion(s), finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove(s), crushed

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

quick and very tasty

Heat a little olive oil (2-3 tablespoons) in a large frying pan. Then, fry the onions and crushed garlic. Be careful not to brown the onions and garlic, otherwise they will be bitter. Then, add the spaetzle. Sauté them over medium heat until well browned. Meanwhile, chop all the tomatoes and add them to the spaetzle. Sauté, but be careful not to overcook them. Now, deglaze with the cream. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and chili, if you like.
