Mac'n' Cheese with a twist

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 cup(s) pasta, e.g. macaroni, croissants or penne
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup(s) Gouda, grated
  • 4 mushrooms
  • 1 tomato(s)
  • 1 spring onion(s)
  • salt and pepper
  • Spice(s), e.g. paprika powder, basil and oregano

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Bring the milk to a boil in a saucepan, add the pasta, and simmer over low heat. Meanwhile, slice the mushrooms and spring onions and dice the tomato. Grate the Gouda cheese or use pre-grated cheese. Add the vegetables to the pasta and continue cooking. When the pasta is al dente, remove the pan from the heat, stir in the cheese, and season with salt, pepper, and any other spices you like. This recipe can be adapted to your taste.
