Oven-baked lettuce hearts

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 lettuce hearts
  • 2 slice(s) cheese, e.g. E.g. Gouda
  • Sea salt and pepper, red
  • possibly parsley
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Starter or side dish

Trim and halve the lettuce hearts, removing some of the unsightly stem. Place them side by side in a greased baking dish and season with sea salt and red pepper to taste. Top with the cheese and bake in the oven at 180°C for 10 minutes. Remove from the oven, place on a plate, and garnish with red pepper. If desired, add some parsley.
