Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g swede(s)
  • 3 m.-sized potatoes
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 200 ml cream
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 1 small piece(s) of ginger root
  • e.g. chili flakes
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 35 minutes; Total time approx. 55 minutes

Peel the turnip and potatoes and dice them. Cook the turnip cubes in the broth for 15 minutes. Add the potatoes and cook for about 20 minutes, until the turnips are tender. Add the cream, garlic clove, ginger (if desired), and chili flakes and puree with a hand blender. Add more water if desired. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar.
