Seitan doner kebab with tzatziki

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 pack of seitan, approx. 300-350 g
  • 1 tbsp, leveled spice mix (Turkish meat spice)
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups Greek yogurt, 10% fat
  • ½ cucumber(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 bunch of dill

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cut the seitan into thin slices and mix with the meat seasoning and olive oil. Let it marinate for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the tzatziki. Finely grate half a cucumber, season with salt, and let it stand for a while, then squeeze the juices. Mix the yogurt, cucumber, dill, and garlic together and season with a little olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Fry the seitan in a pan for 3-4 minutes on all sides. Serve with the tzatziki and, if desired, fries, coleslaw, or baked potatoes.
