Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 200 g flour
  • 100 g butter
  • 100 g quark, drained
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ pack of baking powder
  • 4 pairs of sausages, thin
  • 12 slice(s) toast bread, (multigrain toast)
  • 2 onions, diced
  • 50 g butter
  • 5 eggs
  • 200 ml milk
  • salt and pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Parsley, chopped
  • Chives, cut into rolls

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

Knead the dough ingredients into a quark shortcrust pastry, chill for 30 minutes. Brown the sausages, then remove from the pan. Sauté the onions with the butter in the frying fat until translucent. Cut the toast into cubes, mix with the onion mixture, eggs, and milk, and season to taste with the spices and herbs. Roll out the shortcrust pastry and line a 28 cm springform pan, pressing 3 cm up the edges. Top with the sausages and spread the toast mixture on top. Bake at 180°C for 30-40 minutes. Sprinkle with chives and serve warm, lukewarm, or cold.
