Bread dumpling casserole

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 600 g bread dumplings, cooked
  • 200 g leek
  • 150 g green beans
  • 200 g carrot(s)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper, from the mill
  • Paprika powder
  • 100 g blue cheese
  • 1 egg yolk
  • some herbs for garnishing
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 12 minutes; Total time approx. 32 minutes

Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) or 160°C (fan oven). Cut bread dumplings into approximately 1 cm thick slices. Trim and wash the leeks and slice them into rings. Trim and wash the beans. Peel, rinse, and slice the carrots. Sauté the vegetables in butter for approximately 1 minute. Season with salt, pepper, and paprika. Grease a baking dish and add the dumplings. Crush the cheese and mix with the egg yolk. Place some of the vegetables and cheese mixture on each dumpling slice. Bake in the oven for approximately 12 minutes. Serve garnished with herbs.
