Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 8 large chicken legs
  • 6 tbsp honey, clear, liquid
  • 4 tbsp ketchup
  • ½ tbsp oil (sunflower oil)
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 20 minutes

Very nice and spicy

Mix ketchup, honey, oil, and garlic cloves in a bowl and pour the mixture into a large, shallow dish. Pat the drumsticks dry with a paper towel and make three deep cuts in each one. This will help the meat absorb the flavor of the marinade. Turn the drumsticks over in the marinade until they are fully coated. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour. Preheat the grill or grill pan to medium heat for about 6 minutes. Place the drumsticks cut-side down in the grill pan. Grill the drumsticks for about 8 to 10 minutes, then carefully turn them over with tongs. Then grill the other side for about 8 to 10 minutes as well. Turn the drumsticks over again. Spoon half of the marinade over them and grill for another 5 minutes. Then turn them over and grill for another 5 minutes. Let the legs cool for 2 to 3 minutes and then wrap colorful napkins around the narrow ends so they are easy to handle while eating.
