Grapefruit a líonadh - Sin mar a Oibríonn sé

Many dishes can be decorated very decoratively with the help of a filleted grapefruit. But that’s not all the fruit has to offer. They give some dishes such as salads, desserts or muesli a very special aroma.

Filleting grapefruit – that’s how it works

When filleting the grapefruit, it’s important to use calm and composure so you don’t damage the fruit unnecessarily. After all, the filleted grapefruit also serves decorative purposes and the eye is known to be part of it.

  • After you have removed the peel from the grapefruit with a sharp knife, the white covering of the fruit is removed. The skin not only looks particularly unappetizing, but it also contains some bitter substances that are not really tasty.
  • This in turn ultimately influences the taste of the actual food, which of course is not desirable. However, removing the white skin from the grapefruit is generally not difficult.
  • Using a narrow, pointed knife, first carefully cut off a slice at the top and bottom of the fruit. But be careful not to damage the grapefruit.
  • The skin of the grapefruit can then be slowly peeled off piece by piece from top to bottom. After removing the thick skin from the grapefruit, cut the fruit into the appropriate pieces.
