Pastries: Easter Bunnies

The perfect pastries: easter bunnies recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Quark lean
  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 3 Tr Vanilla flavor
  • 3 tbsp Sugar
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 packet Baking powder
  • 100 g Ground almonds
  • Milk
  • For rolling:
  • Melted butter
  • Sugar with vanilla pulp
  1. For the rabbits, the quark, oil, vanilla flavor and sugar are mixed together. If you want, you can also add an egg, but it doesn’t have to be.
  2. Mix the flour and baking powder and mix with the other ingredients. Finally knead in the almonds. The dough should be handy and no longer stick. If necessary, knead in a little more flour.
  3. Now roll out the dough about a good 1/2 cm thick and cut out rabbits. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and brush with milk. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 “C (convection) for about 20 minutes until golden yellow.
  4. Melt the butter and coat the still hot rabbits with it all around and roll in the vanilla sugar mixture. I wish you a good appetite and a happy Easter.
  5. PS: When it’s not Easter, I make little croissants out of this dough.
