Quick Aperitif Pastries

The perfect quick aperitif pastries recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

Hazelnut paste

  • 6 tbsp Ground hazelnuts
  • 4 tbsp Sugar brown raw sugar
  • 3 tbsp Water
  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Utilization of leftovers for unexpected guests

  1. Mix the ingredients for the hazelnut paste well and spread over the puff pastry. Spread well.
  1. Roll up the puff pastry with the paste and cut approx. 1-2 cm thick slices. Looks like snail shells.
  1. Spread the rolls generously on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
  1. In the oven for 13 to 15 minutes (may take a little longer depending on the thickness of the rolls). Take out and place on plate, done.
  1. The recipe arose out of necessity. Guests came unexpectedly, I had 30 minutes until they arrived and I wanted to be able to offer them something.
  1. Of course, many other ingredients can be used. Depending on what is available.
