  • Rice pudding (short grain rice)
  • Salt
  • Vanilla sugar

  • Applesauce
  • Raspberries
  • Chocolate flakes
  • Seasonal fruit puree
  • Caramelize with brown sugar

Preface

  • Milk rice is one of the popular desserts both children and adults love it. The simplicity of manufacture is remarkable. The ingredients: milk, round grain rice and sugar create a great basic recipe. Rice rice recipes are e.g. with applesauce, seasonal fruits or cinnamon a highlight, both as a dessert and as a snack in between, very popular with children.

Basic recipe

  • it's just like that !!! Mix the milk, salt and vanilla sugar in a saucepan and bring to the boil over low heat.
  • Now add the rice to the milk and bring to the boil again.
  • Let's go on !!! Let the rice pudding cook over low heat for about 20 minutes (until the rice is soft). It is important to stir the rice again and again so that nothing burns.
  • Depending on your taste with e.g. Sprinkle with cinnamon or today, like me, fruity, garnish with the first MEGA strawberries from Spain.
  • I had my grandchildren to visit and they also helped diligently. As a reward, they both got a rice pudding bear. After it had cooled down, we painted it nicely with food coloring. But as it is, photo not possible- children were faster- mampfmampf 🙂 and the bear no longer recognizable.
