Ingredients
 

  • 300 g مکڻ

  • Knead the butter, sugar and salt. Sift in the flour and knead everything crumbly with the dough hook of the hand mixer. Divide the mixture, whereby one half (the later light-colored dough) should be 20 g more. Put the cocoa in the slightly smaller half and knead again briefly. Then knead both masses separately on the work surface with your hands to a smooth, supple, shiny dough.
  • Roll out both doughs - also separately - between two layers of baking paper, about 3 mm thick. Place the plates including the paper on a smooth, firm surface and place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. They should be firm, but still easily malleable and not rock hard.
  • First process only half of each plate. After cutting, return the leftovers to the not yet cut-out plate, roll out again and cool. Continue doing this until the dough is completely processed.
  • Cut out circles of approx. 6 cm from both plates. Then place a dark circle on each light (or vice versa). But always coat the bottom one with some egg white beforehand. Preheat the oven to 170 ° O / bottom heat. Line the tray with baking paper.
  • Now cut the glued together circles in half, slightly press each half - standing upright - at both ends and place them on the baking paper (baking sheet) straight away. This is how a leaf is created. 5 halves made in this way, placed next to each other, form a flower. Shape the light-colored dough into a small ball, place it in the center and press lightly and prick several times with a toothpick. In this way, process all of the circles and the entire dough. You can vary the assembly by having the dark dough outside or inside. That is up to you.
  • The baking time is 20-25 minutes on the middle rack. The flowers become a little flatter through baking, but that doesn't detract from their appearance (and taste ... ;-)) .......... ... and for me it is a small present for someone who is particularly dear to you ..................... starts with "A" and ends with "e" ........... ;-))))))))
  • The above amount of ingredients resulted in a serving of approx. 15 flowers.
