- 400 g Frozen spinach leaves
- 40 g Butter
- 1 Diced onion
- 1 Garlic cloves chopped
- Black pepper from the mill
- Sea salt fine
- 1 tsp Lemon juice
- Freshly grated nutmeg
Melt the butter in a saucepan and fry the onion cubes until translucent, sauté the chopped garlic for a minute, then add the frozen spinach. Reduce the heat and let the vegetables thaw completely covered.
Season with pepper, salt and lemon juice, stir once and finish cooking for another two to three minutes. Season with a touch of freshly ground nutmeg and serve.
I served the simple leaf spinach with a potato and onion tortilla. But it also goes well with egg or fish dishes.
