Ingredients

  • 400 g Frozen spinach leaves
  • 40 g Butter
  • 1 Diced onion
  • 1 Garlic cloves chopped
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • Sea salt fine
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Freshly grated nutmeg

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a saucepan and fry the onion cubes until translucent, sauté the chopped garlic for a minute, then add the frozen spinach. Reduce the heat and let the vegetables thaw completely covered.
  • Season with pepper, salt and lemon juice, stir once and finish cooking for another two to three minutes. Season with a touch of freshly ground nutmeg and serve.
  • I served the simple leaf spinach with a potato and onion tortilla. But it also goes well with egg or fish dishes.
