Currant - Peach Jam

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Red currants
  • 1 kg Fresh peaches
  • 1 pack Preserving sugar 2: 1
  • 2 pack Citric acid

Instructions

  • Scald peaches with hot water (bring to the boil briefly in a saucepan) then peel off the skin, wash the currants and remove them from the steal
  • Pour the currants and peaches into a tall saucepan
  • Add gelling sugar e.g. 2 to 1 (2 kg of fruit and 500 grams of gelling sugar) and bring everything to a boil
  • Crush everything with the hand blender
  • Pour everything into the washed glasses, I used a funnel for this
  • Close the glasses and turn them upside down, after they have cooled down put them in the cellar - should be stored in a cool place -
