- 200 ml red wine
- 200 ml broth
- Marjoram, mugwort
- 1 bay leaf
- some cornstarch, to bind
- salt and pepper

Brown the diced vegetables in a pan with a little fat. Add tomato paste and roast, deglaze with red wine and pour in the broth. Add marjoram, mugwort, and bay leaf. Simmer the sauce for 10 minutes, then strain. Thicken the sauce with cornstarch and season with salt and pepper.
