Walnut semolina dumplings

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 70 g butter, soft
  • 20 g walnuts, ground
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 140 g semolina
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

Cream the softened butter with walnuts, salt, and pepper. Whisk the whole egg, add, and mix. Stir in the semolina. Using a tablespoon, cut out dumplings from the dough and shape them. Let them rest in a cool place for 15 minutes. Add the cooled dumplings to hot, boiling salted water and let them stand for about 15-20 minutes. Suitable as a soup garnish for clear or vegetable soups.
