Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 175 g flour
- 125 g cornstarch
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 250 g sugar
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- ½ organic lemon(s), zest
- 1 pinch of salt
- 5 m.-sized eggs
- 170 g butter
- 200 g dark chocolate
- 3 oranges, juice
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours 5 minutes
Castle-shaped cake
Beat the sugar, vanilla sugar, eggs, lemon zest, and salt in a double boiler until lukewarm. Remove the egg mixture from the boiler and stir until cold again. Sift the flour with the cornstarch and baking powder and fold in. Melt the butter and fold it into the batter while still warm, but not hot. Squeeze the oranges and add the juice. Pour half of the batter into the tin. Melt the chocolate and stir into the second half. Now pour the second half of the batter into the tin. Preheat the oven to 155°C and bake the cake for about 45 minutes using conventional or fan-assisted heating. Do the skewer test. Let the cake cool briefly and then turn it out of the tin.
