Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 4 eggs
- 50 g sugar
- 200 ml cream
- 1 tsp vanilla paste
- 1 lime(s)
- 60 ml Marsala
- Vanilla sauce for serving
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes
for the ice cream machine
Separate the eggs. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar until frothy. Heat 100 ml of cream with the vanilla paste until just before boiling. Remove from the heat and slowly stir in the egg foam. Wash the lime in hot water, zest, and juice the lime. Stir 1/2 teaspoon each of lime zest and juice with the Marsala into the cream and egg mixture. Stir until cold in a cold water bath. Whip the remaining cream until stiff and fold in. Whip the egg whites again and fold in. Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and freeze. Serve the ice cream with the vanilla sauce.
