Whole-grain buttermilk apple pie

Spread the love

Ingredients for 16 servings:

  • 1 kg flour (whole wheat flour)
  • 1 liter buttermilk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • flavoring
  • 2 bags of baking powder
  • 200 g hazelnuts, chopped
  • 200 g raisins
  • 200 g sugar, brown
  • 10 apples
  • 6 tbsp sesame seeds for sprinkling

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour

Mix all ingredients together and finally fold in the apple pieces. (Peel and core the apples, and cut them into larger pieces, about 2-3 cm). Place on a large, greased baking sheet, preferably with a raised edge. Sprinkle with sesame seeds or oatmeal and bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 50 minutes. Delicious and (almost) fat-free. For a springform pan, I would halve the ingredients. Bake at medium heat for about 50 minutes.
