Strawberry sorbet

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 150 g sugar
  • 150 ml water, hot
  • 700 g strawberries
  • 30 g powdered sugar
  • Lemon juice, optional

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 4 hours; Total time approx. 4 hours 20 minutes

Make a syrup from sugar and water and let it cool. Wash the strawberries, remove the green parts, and chop them slightly. Then puree them in a blender or with a hand blender. Strain the strawberries through a sieve to remove the seeds and add the powdered sugar. Add the sugar syrup to the pureed strawberries and mix well. If the sorbet is too sweet, add a little lemon juice to taste. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer. A metal dish is best for faster freezing. Stir the mixture from the outside in every 20 minutes until the sorbet is completely frozen.
