Banana, strawberry, caramel, and toffee puff pastry

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 roll of topping dough
  • 1 egg(s), whisked with a little milk
  • 1 large banana(s)
  • 6 strawberries
  • 12 pieces of confectionery (Milka Toffees with a soft center)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Rest time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Delicious and easy

Preheat the oven to approximately 200°C (175°C fan-assisted). Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 6 pieces. Cut the banana into 12 pieces and place 2 pieces in the center of each piece of puff pastry. Add 2 toffees to each piece. Cut the strawberries into small cubes and place them on top of the bananas and toffee. Fold the 4 sides of the puff pastry together at the top and press gently together, then fold the 4 sides upwards and press together again. You now have a small parcel, which you then twist again at the top. Place all 6 parcels on a baking sheet and brush with beaten egg. Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar after baking and let cool for 5 minutes before serving, as the contents will be very hot! Tip: Use the puff pastry immediately after taking it out of the refrigerator. If it sits for longer, it will become soft and difficult to handle.
