Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g quark / low-fat quark
  • 2 eggs
  • 220 g sugar
  • 2 packets of vanilla sugar
  • 2 tbsp rum (if children are eating it, just leave out the rum!)
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Fat, for frying
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

NOT a dough! But it tastes like it. Just easier to make!

Knead all ingredients, except the fat, thoroughly with the dough hook of a hand mixer. Heat the fat to approximately 180°C. Using two teaspoons, scoop out small balls and fry them in the fat until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar. Much easier than making a dough with yeast. Tastes sensational!
