Egg-free semolina slices

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 ml milk
  • 125 g durum wheat semolina
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Bring the milk to a boil with the sugar and vanilla sugar. Remove the pan from the heat and slowly stir in the durum wheat semolina. Return the pan to the heat and stir until the semolina begins to thicken. Then pour the mixture into a baking dish and let it cool. Once the mixture has cooled, cut it into small pieces and fry them on both sides in a pan with butter. This goes well with fruit or applesauce.
