Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of yeast (dry yeast)
  • 250 ml milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pack of vanilla sugar, for the sweet version
  • Fat, for frying

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Piklets

Combine flour, sugar (vanilla sugar for a sweet version), and yeast. Heat the milk in a saucepan until lukewarm. Add the eggs and salt. Whisk well. Now add the egg mixture to the flour mixture. Cover and let rest in a warm place for 30 minutes. Then, using a saucepan, fry the small cakes in a pan until golden brown on both sides. For a sweeter version, add fruit compote, applesauce, maple syrup, etc. Alternatively, you can mix corn, ham, herbs, etc. into the batter (without the vanilla sugar).
