Apple, nut, and cinnamon muffins

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 2 m.-sized apples
  • 100 g butter
  • 150 g sugar
  • 2 m.-sized eggs
  • 150 g flour
  • 7 g baking powder
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 75 g hazelnuts, ground
  • 75 ml water
  • 8 g vanilla sugar
  • powdered sugar
  • 1 handful of almond flakes

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

for 15 muffins

Melt the butter and let it cool. Mix the butter, sugar, eggs, flour, baking powder, cinnamon, ground hazelnuts, water, and vanilla sugar in a bowl, then stir in the peeled and chopped apples. Spoon the mixture into prepared muffin tins, about 1.5 tablespoons per tin. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for about 20 minutes. Tip: Sprinkle the muffins with slivered almonds three-quarters of the way through baking. Let it cool and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Makes about 15 muffins.
