Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 200 g smoked tofu
- 2 onions, red
- 1 bell pepper(s), green
- 1 bell pepper(s), red
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tsp cumin
- 2 tsp paprika powder, smoked
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
with smoked tofu and paprika
First, soak 6 wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, mix the marinade ingredients in a bowl. Dice the tofu and toss with the marinade until all pieces are coated. Pre-cook in a hot oven at 200°C (top/bottom heat) for 10 minutes. Turn once halfway through. Alternatively, you can pre-cook the tofu in the microwave for 10 minutes. In the meantime, dice the remaining vegetables. Once the tofu is ready, alternate onion, bell pepper, and tofu on the skewers. Brush the finished skewers with oil and season with salt and pepper. Grill for about 10 minutes, until the vegetables are cooked through and the tofu is crispy on the outside.
