Wild garlic and potato noodle gratin

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g potato dumplings
  • 125 g bacon cubes
  • 1 onion(s), red
  • Wild garlic oil
  • ½ cup cream, 100 ml
  • ½ cup sour cream, 100 g
  • n. B. Wild garlic pesto, if available
  • e.g. fresh wild garlic, if available
  • pepper
  • nutmeg
  • Salt, if necessary
  • 100 g cheese, grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat). Heat oil, fry the dumplings until crispy, then transfer to a baking dish. Sauté the onions. When they’re lightly browned, add the bacon. Mix the cream, sour cream, and a little wild garlic pesto, season, and add the onions and bacon. In my experience, no salt is necessary. If you have any, add the fresh, chopped wild garlic. Then pour the mixture over the dumplings and sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake in the oven for about 15 minutes, until the dumplings are browned to your liking.
