- 50 g mixed salad
- 9 slice(s) cheese (Chedder or Emmental)
- 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- e.g. ketchup and mustard
- salt and pepper
- Oil, for frying
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes
Peel and dice the onion, and mix with the ground beef. Season the ground beef generously with Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper, then divide it into two halves. Heat the oil in a non-stick pan and press the first half into the pan, similar to a hash brown. Place three slices of cheese in the center and cover with the second half, pressing the edges firmly. Fry for about 10 minutes on each side. Place a flat lid or a sufficiently large plate on top to turn the burger over, turn it over, and let the burger slide back into the pan. Cut the flatbread in half horizontally and bake briefly in the oven at about 150 degrees Celsius until crispy. Meanwhile, fry the bacon and set it aside. Slice the cucumber and tomatoes. Spread mustard on the bottom half of the bread and top with three slices of cheese. Place the fried giant hamburger topped with three slices of cheese on top. Distribute lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and ketchup on top, then add the other half of the bread. You can cut the giant hamburger into slices like a cake and serve it.
