Ingredients for 8 servings:
- 1 head of white cabbage
- 150 ml table vinegar
- 150 ml rapeseed oil
- 150 ml sugar
- 4 onions, red
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 tbsp honey
- 2 tsp salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 2 hours; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 2 hours
Finely grate the white cabbage and place it in a large bowl. Then finely chop the red onions and crush the garlic with a garlic press. Combine the onions, garlic, oil, vinegar, sugar, salt, and honey in a small saucepan. Slowly bring everything to a boil, stirring constantly. Pour the boiled liquid over the grated white cabbage and knead it in. Then refrigerate, stirring occasionally. I let the salad sit for at least 24 hours; after that, it’s perfect.
