Brussels sprouts with cream cheese and mustard sauce

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 500 g Brussels sprouts
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 150 ml broth
  • 1 garlic clove(s)
  • 100 g cream cheese
  • 1 tsp, heaped mustard
  • possibly cornstarch
  • some salt and pepper
  • some nutmeg, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Trim the Brussels sprouts and boil them in salted water. Meanwhile, peel the onion and garlic. Heat the oil in a pan and fry both ingredients until crispy. Then deglaze with the broth. Mix in the cream cheese and mustard and stir well. Finally, remove the Brussels sprouts from the heat, drain well, and add them to the sauce. Thicken the sauce with cornstarch to your desired consistency and season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
