Apple rings in puff pastry from the air fryer

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 roll of (to taste) dough from the refrigerated section
  • 1 large apple
  • 1 egg(s) or some milk
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 pinch(s) cinnamon powder
  • Hazelnut brittle

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Cut 4 apple rings, each approximately 5 mm thick. Cut out the core generously, or cut out the core in a ring shape. Not too tightly, or the dough won’t fit through later. Cut the chilled puff pastry into approximately 1 cm wide strips and wrap them around the rings, overlapping in the center. Chill the puff pastry frequently, as once it’s warm, it won’t fit through the hole. Brush the finished pastries with beaten egg or milk, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and hazelnut brittle, and place directly into the air fryer basket. Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes. Serve with vanilla sauce, whipped cream, or ice cream.
