Buttermilk with figs and bananas

Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 bananas
  • 4 figs, ripe or dried
  • 2 vanilla pods or 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 500 g buttermilk
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 200 ml still mineral water
  • ½ tsp cinnamon powder, if necessary.

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Peel the bananas, slice half a banana, and then cut the banana into small cubes. Drizzle the diced bananas with lemon juice and set aside for garnish. Roughly chop the remaining bananas and add them to a blender. Halve the fresh figs and scoop out the flesh with a small spoon. Halve the vanilla pods lengthwise and scrape out the seeds with a sharp knife. If you don’t have any ripe figs, you can soak dried figs in a little water overnight and use them the next morning like fresh figs. Dried figs are also much cheaper. Blend in the fig flesh and carefully stir in the mineral water. Pour the fig and banana buttermilk into glasses. Serve with the diced bananas and sprinkle with cinnamon, if desired.
