Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g steak(s) (minute steaks)
  • 1 cup of sweet cream
  • 400 g mushrooms
  • 1 pack of cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 1 large onion(s), diced
  • 3 cm tomato paste from the tube
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 1 pinch of nutmeg
  • Salt
  • Sugar
  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 cup milk

Peel the potatoes and boil in salted water. When they’re done, mash them, add a little butter, then milk, a little sugar, and season with salt and nutmeg. Cut the meat into thin strips. Fry the onion with the meat, season with salt, pepper, and about 3 cm of tomato paste, then add the sliced ​​mushrooms. Cook until tender, deglaze with cream, adding a little water or milk if it gets too thick. Simmer for about 20 minutes, season again, then transfer to a deep casserole dish. Cover the strips with the mashed potatoes. Sprinkle with cheese and bake until melted. A green salad goes wonderfully with this.
