Schnitzel with paprika and tomato sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 4 pork schnitzels
  • 1 bell pepper(s), colored
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • ¼ liter beef broth
  • 1 bottle of tomato ketchup
  • salt and pepper
  • Worcestershire sauce

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Pound the schnitzels, season with salt and pepper, and coat in flour. Then sear them on both sides in a pan. Slice the peppers and onions. Remove the schnitzels from the pan and fry the peppers and onions in the drippings, adding the tomato paste. Deglaze with the stock. Add the ketchup and Worcestershire sauce. Return the schnitzels to the sauce and reduce the heat slightly. Serve with fries or pasta.
