Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g flour
  • 100 g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 200 g margarine or soft butter
  • 130 g brown sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • possibly grease for the tray

Instructions

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Total time approx. 45 minutes

enough for about 80 pieces

Mix the flour with the cocoa powder and baking powder. Cream the margarine or butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time. Knead in the flour mixture. Preheat oven to 180°C (top/bottom heat) (gas mark 2, fan oven: 160°C). Grease a baking tray or line it with baking paper. With lightly floured hands, form the dough into about 80 walnut-sized balls. Flatten the balls slightly and place them on the baking tray, not too close together. Bake the cookies in the hot oven for about 15 minutes, until crispy. Carefully remove them from the tray with a spatula and let them cool completely on a wire rack. Variations: Mix 50g of ground hazelnuts into the dough and use only 50g of cocoa powder. Then dip the cooled cookies halfway into melted chocolate coating. If you want to give the cookies additional flavor, add 1 teaspoon of grated orange peel, chopped coffee beans or cinnamon powder to the dough.
