Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 280 g flour
  • 100 g almonds, ground
  • 200 g butter, soft
  • 100 g sugar
  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1 piece(s) vanilla pod(s), of which the pulp
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • some powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Working time approx. 40 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 55 minutes

For the dough, combine all ingredients except the powdered sugar. Knead the ingredients thoroughly; the vanilla seeds will be fairly evenly distributed. Chill the dough for about 1 hour. Then shape into approximately 40 to 50 vanilla crescents and bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit) for 12 to 15 minutes. Sprinkle the tops of the crescents with powdered sugar while they are still hot. Let them cool slightly, otherwise they will break easily.
