simple Austria “Red White Red” muffins with jersey numbers

Cream the butter, sugar, salt, vanilla sugar, and lemon juice until fluffy, then add the eggs one at a time. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir it into the fluffy mixture along with the sour cream. Put one-third of the batter into a separate bowl and mix it with the melted chocolate to create a nice white mixture. Mix the other two-thirds of the batter with the red food coloring. For other national flags, you can of course use other colors. Place paper cups in the muffin tins and layer the batter into the muffin cases using a tablespoon in the order red, white, red. Once that’s done, place the muffins in the preheated oven at 190 degrees Celsius (375 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes. Let the baked muffins cool. In the meantime, roll out the fondant and cut out any numbers you like. Tip: A little cornstarch will prevent the fondant from sticking to the work surface and will make it easier to remove. Decorate the muffins with the numbers and create your own football team. This muffin recipe is perfect for watching football and is a real eye-catcher at parties. It makes exactly 12 muffins.
