Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 750 g lean beef
- 3 onions
- 500 g Brussels sprouts
- 500 g carrot(s)
- 3 tbsp oil
- ⅛ liter white wine
- ¼ liter of water
- 1 tsp broth, granulated
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp thyme, dried
- salt and pepper
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes
Dice the meat. Peel and dice the onions. Heat the oil in a pan and brown the meat on all sides. Add the onions and sauté until translucent. Add the wine, water, granulated stock, and bay leaf, and simmer for about an hour. Meanwhile, trim and wash the Brussels sprouts and carrots. Cut the carrots into thick sticks, leaving the sprouts whole. Add the vegetables to the meat. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme and simmer for 20–30 minutes. Serve with fresh baguette.
