Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2 slices of farmhouse bread
- Raclette cheese as desired
- 2 tbsp sour cream or cream cheese
- 1 tsp mustard, more to taste
- 1 dashes Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, freshly ground
- pear(s)
- Cranberries
- Pickle(s)
- tomato(s)
Instructions
Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
rustic toast with farmer’s bread
Thoroughly mix the ingredients for the spread and season to taste. Spread it on the bread and top with cheese as desired. Finally, top and decorate as desired. Bake the toast in a preheated oven at 180°C (top and bottom heat) for approximately 8-10 minutes, until the cheese has melted. Note: The bread doesn’t necessarily need to be pre-toasted for this toast, as the cream cheese topping prevents it from becoming soggy, and the crust becomes wonderfully crispy when gratinated.
