Turkey strips in orange sauce with quinoa

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g turkey breast
  • 1 small zucchini
  • 100g quinoa
  • 200 ml water
  • 250 ml orange juice
  • 100 ml soy sauce
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

a healthy alternative to the classic snack

First, wash the quinoa and then toast it in a small saucepan. Then add the water, bring to a boil, and then simmer on low heat with the lid on for 20 minutes. While the quinoa is cooking, combine the orange juice, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, and cornstarch in a bowl and set aside. Cut the meat into pieces and brown it in a pan with the zucchini. After browning, pour the orange mixture over it and bring to a boil. Serve the turkey with the quinoa. This is a healthy alternative to fried orange chicken.
