Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 2 elderflower heads
- 4 roses, unsprayed scented roses
- 4 stems of lavender
- 1 vanilla pod(s)
- 300 g white rock sugar
- 700 ml schnapps (Doppelkorn or vanilla vodka)
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Rest period approx. 40 days; Total time approx. 40 days 20 minutes
Shake out the elderflower heads and cut off the white blossoms. Clean the rose petals and pluck off the petals. Carefully strip the lavender blossoms from the stalks. Do not wash the blossoms! Split the vanilla pod lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Place all the blossoms in layers in the jar. Finally, add the vanilla seeds and rock candy. Pour over the alcohol. Seal the jar and leave in a warm place for at least 10 days. Shake daily to help dissolve the aromatics. After 10 days, pour the liqueur through a filter (cloth) and let it mature for about 4 weeks. Then fill into bottles and store in a dark place. Tip: If you use red roses, the liqueur will have a beautiful reddish-pink color; if you use white roses, the liqueur will turn yellowish. If you like, you can also add red or yellow food coloring.
