Strawberry limeade

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg strawberries
  • 600 g sugar
  • 500 ml lemon juice
  • 700 ml vodka

Wash the strawberries, cut them in half or quarter them, and place them in a saucepan. Add the sugar and let the strawberries steep overnight. The next day, add the lemon juice and puree the strawberries. Depending on your taste, you can leave some pieces or puree them very finely. Bring everything back to a boil briefly and, once cooled, add the vodka. Refrigerate the limeade until ready to serve. The strawberry limeade tastes delicious topped up with sparkling wine or over ice. Tip: I always fill some into plastic bottles and freeze the strawberry limeade so I always have some on hand.
