Apple pie with semolina and without eggs

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 kg sour apples, e.g. Boskoop
  • 100 g semolina
  • 200 g flour
  • 1 pack of cream of tartar baking powder
  • 5 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 200 g cream
  • 125 g margarine or butter
  • possibly cinnamon

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes

it is almost even better on the second day, for a 26cm springform pan

Peel the apples, remove the cores, and cut into small pieces. Preheat oven to 180°C (top and bottom heat). Mix together the semolina, flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon, if desired. Heat the cream and butter or margarine in a saucepan until the butter has melted. Let cool slightly. Grease a 26cm springform pan well and fill alternately with the batter mixture and the apples. The bottom and top layers should be one layer of batter. Pour the cream and butter mixture into the springform pan, making sure the entire surface is covered. Bake the cake on the lowest rack for about 60 minutes.
