Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

easy and quick to make, but very tasty

Marinate the shrimp (defrost frozen ones first) with a little lemon juice, salt, and pepper for about 30 minutes. Peel and finely dice the onions and garlic. Peel the tomatoes, but do not deseed them (!), and cut them into small cubes. Combine the ajvar, tomato paste, sambal oelek, oil, processed cheese, and herbs in a mixing bowl and puree until smooth. Add the cream and blend again. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Meanwhile, pat the shrimp dry and fry in a pan over high heat for about 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove from the pan and sauté the onions and garlic in the frying fat. Add the tomatoes and fry for another 2 minutes. Add the tomato paste and cream mixture and the grated cheese. Finally, add the shrimp to the sauce and let it come to the boil. Season with salt, pepper, and chili powder. Arrange on plates and serve immediately. Tip: The sauce also tastes good with rice and other diced fish.
