Macaroni in basil sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 300 g pasta (macaroni)
  • 2 onions
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • olive oil
  • 150 ml white wine
  • 200 ml vegetable stock
  • 200 ml sweet cream
  • 100 g tomatoes, dried
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 20 g butter
  • 1 lemon(s), the juice
  • 100 g Parmesan, freshly grated
  • Salt
  • Pepper, freshly grated

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Peel the onions and garlic and dice finely. Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the diced onions and garlic until translucent. Deglaze with the wine and add the cream and stock. Reduce everything by about half. In the meantime, cook the macaroni al dente. Drain and set aside. Finely dice the sun-dried tomatoes. Finely slice the basil. Stir the macaroni, diced tomatoes, butter, and basil into the sauce and season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Bring everything back to a boil briefly and serve immediately.
